PBA Systems
When we were approached, PBA needed a new design automated mirotiter plate well filler. A design that would overcome previous assembly issues for this relatively low volume product with limited production and assembly techniques. Using our knowledge of production processes we combined structural foam moulding and CNC machined components with traditional metal fabrication to create a visually pleasing and easy to use product. Other projects have included; micro-engineered pumps, valves, augers and innovative force measurement drug delivery technologies where micro engineering with product design are combined. Origin has carried out projects with international Medical instrumentation companies developing accurate diagnosticand monitoring systems. Our involvement varies from technology development, tolerance analysis, design for manufacture to industrial design or cost reduction.
