Jim Collins
Jim is a highly experienced engineer that joined Origin in 1999 with skills developed at Pye, Philips Consumer Communications and Cambridgeshire Design Consultancies. Jim has extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, consumer goods, injection moulding and tool design making him an invaluable member of our engineering team. Jim has been actively involved in a majority of Origins novel engineering systems and customer owned patents.
Speciality
Jim has excellent skills developing novel mechanical systems and proving concepts work. Jim is also responsible for the company's CAD systems, workshops and ensures that all appropriate quality systems and documentation requirements are met for each project.
Personal goal
Away from the design office Jim is a keen golfer, swimmer and Harley owner. He is often to be found fiddling with mechanical parts in workshops, under cars or next to bikes.
